The Reflection Of You

We stand here in front of this office window, try to talk about something you don’t wanna talk about and I don’t wanna hear the explanation. I sip my coffee, I feel warm on my both hands. You don’t wanna look at me, you look at the sky as it gets darker.

“It’s gonna rain soon”, you say it out of nowhere.
“I know”, I reply, “and I know everything”, I reply to other things to start the talking.

You start talking, a lot of explanation, I just can’t focus. All I see is the rain that starts to pour down outside along with my tears on my cheek. Warm. It’s still warm, my coffee, this tears, and how your voice when you talk to me.

Then I see your reflection on the window, but I can’t figure out your expression. Have a mercy, have a mercy on me. I can’t no more listen to all the explanation, my mind wander to nowhere.

I still see your reflection, and finally fade away. No more you, no more you stand beside me, right now, or in the future.

**Behind the story of The Reflection Of You:
I was waiting for my bestie in a mall near her office, and it’s about to rain, so we exchanged the grey cloud from our each other windows. And the picture she gave me got me the idea of this fictional short story.
